Merry Christmas Susan! Everyone in our family gets a stocking stuffer for each other. The are all wrapped in foil so you don't know who it is from. The guessing is so much fun but not as much fun as the foul snow ball fight we have following the guessing game!

Merry Christmas. One of my favorite traditions is hosting a Christmas Eve gala for my family. Since we all have families of our own, we get together Christmas Eve for dinner, gift exchange, and laughter. So the following day each sibling can spend Christmas with their spouses family. We also eat cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast after opening gifts.

My favorite tradition was going to Seattle to Frederick and Nelson's to have breakfast with Santa and then have our daughters picture taken with Santa. He was always in their big corner window. We would wait outside under the heaters and enjoy their beautiful window displays. After pictures we would go to the bakery and get big Santa face cookies and Frango milkshakes. Today's tradition is my granddaughter reading the Christmas story first thing Christmas morning.

Being with my family is my favorite tradition. The older I get the more important my sister, brother and my parents become. Merry Christmas and give Eddie a hug from me.

Merry Christmas Susan. Our family tradition is to get together on Christmas Eve for dinner and gift exchange. It is so much fun to watch the little ones open their gifts from the sunts and uncles. Then the adults do a white elephant gift exchange - which causes lots of laughs and swaps.

Our new Christmas tradition (Thanksgiving too) since the kids are all gone is to help cook and/or deliver Meals on Wheels so the regular staff get a day off.
Wanted to thank you for all your wonderful ideas. I look forward to each morning & seeing your beautiful creations. Love your style: clean & simply but always elegant. Merry Christmas to you, your family & all your 4 footed buddies. Janet

Merry Christmas, Susan, to you and your entire family and wishing you all a healthy, prosperous and happy New Year. THANKS FOR BEING SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY! Since I am alone now on Christmas my traditions have changed a bit but are so special. All of the gifts and packages I receive from work and far away friends are not opened until Christmas morning. I love to sit and open each one, along with the cards, and take in the very special and thoughtful person who sent me a package. Then, on Christmas evening, I share Christmas dinner with my Landlords and play board games - We have so much fun! Merry Christmas to you and yours and may God bless! Debbie

My favorite is that we wrap up 24 different Christmas books and each night we take one into our bedroom, pile onto the bed, then unwrap and read the book. We read every night of the year before bed, but there is extra excitement not knowing what book we will be reading until it's unwrapped. Have a very special day today, everyone! Thanks for the chance to win. Merry Christmas!

Christmas means Midnight Mass with a half hour of carols before and the church lit only by candles. It is the one tradition for me that hasn't changed over the decades, even if I am the only one left to enjoy it. Merry Christmas, Susan, to you and your family with many thanks for your unfailing good humor and inspired projects. Health and happiness in 2016!

One of my favorite traditions in our house is making Jesus' birthday cake. It is baked in a Christmas tree shaped pan with green icing and usually mini m&ms as ornaments. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I really enjoy your site and seeing pictures of your precious animals. Give Eddie an extra hug!

Christmas Eve is our family's "Christmas Day!".....we go to Mass, have dinner (and every person has a host that you break off and wish each other a Merry Christmas) and then open presents as the two youngest ones sit right by the tree waiting for their presents!! A night of family and fun! Merry Christmas everyone!

Well, one of our favorites is eating chocolate chip cookies for breakfast as we open presents. :)

We have a family dinner and then everyone gets to open one present on Christmas Eve. It is a lot of fun watching people trying to decide which present to open. The rest are saved for Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family and all of your four-legged family members as well.

Our newer tradition since we won't be with family on Christmas is to go to IHOP for a decadent breakfast. Surprisingly, many families do that here in the south.

One of my traditions in preparation for Christmas is making peanut brittle. It seems like it wouldn't be Christmas without it. I do the old fashion way on the stove top and this year I went a bit over the top making it for friends and for work but call it a labor of love. Using a recipe that has been in my family for years it always brings back a memory of the mother, grand mother, and great grandmother who measured the sugar, poured the syrup and added all of the remaining ingredients then stirred and stirred using that heavy pan till house smells of peanut brittle again. Call it a tradition, call it a memory, it's all good when it's shared!

We love spending the day with the kids (daughter, son in law and grandsons)and any friends who want to stop in. Since my SIL is a chef, he does most of the cooking, but I always make lemon ice box pies...a recipe that's so easy, but has been in our family forever.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Our family tradition is getting to choose one present to open on Christmas Eve night and having a family dinner.

Our one Christmas tradition that doesn't vary is Christmas Eve at my sister's house. She and her husband are fabulous cooks and we have a great spread. Then we have a great time opening gifts. The cast of characters changes each year now the the "kids" are grown and married. But the constant is my 2 sisters and myself. Can't wait for tonight.

Merry Christmas Susan! Family is it. My children live all across the country and I visit one each Christmas. I love that they each have their own traditions. My son and his family, where I am now go out to breakfast every Christmas Eve.

Merry, Merry Susan! Love your inspiring ideas! My favorite tradition is music. The day after Thanksgiving I start playing our Cristmas music on cd or on the piano & it continues until New Year's Day. Enjoy your festivities!
