What is Black and White with BLING?
A super simple yet FUN and QUICK Happy News Years Card!
We all know that time is against us "creative crazies" but here is another super quick card like yesterdays was that comes together in a jif! I decided since my Heat Tool was out from yesterday, why not use it again? Sound logical to me...right!
Back to old faithful, the whisper white note card and a simple piece of black cut in a "smidge" smaller for the magic to happen.
I scored it on on all side 3 rows as I figured there wasn't much going on so I wanted the embosses lines to pop!
Next I prepped the area to be embossed and using the versa mark ink pad I stamped the "happy new year" and heat set it with the white embossing folder! (my heart still pitter-pattered yesterday when I did this method - I NEVER get tired of it as it is just plain FUN)
Out came a speed tool...the bow builder punch (I personally think that all of our punches are speed tools and I highly recommend that when you can....keep adding to the collection - they will give you clean and simple cards with a simple push!
I used the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and WOW - a fun effect! Using the glue dots to put the bow together is the easiest and fastest way to make it!
THAT'S IT....I told you it was easy! Well....how are you all doing? The countdown is upon us - I deeply thank you for taking a moment to pop in and see what I am up to! You know I love what I do and I love helping and inspiring you!
Please feel free to email me - I am getting a full house so I will do my best to return emails. Until tomorrow....I think you will enjoy the post - totally different!Feel free to leave me a comment with how you like this fun card....I adore our cyber community we have together!
We all know that we have LOTS of DSP...and then we all know that we hate to use it because it is so pretty....but then we all know when a new catalog comes out....you like that even more and then what happens?
YOU HAVE A TON OF PAPER!
(does this ring a bell to anyone out there)
I am trying...really trying to use up the DSP that I have so when the catalog rolls around next year for the Holiday I can enjoy the NEWBIES with no guilt. Here is about as simple as it can get but it is as cute as it can get!
I bet that you did not notice what I did today? It was super hard to catch in the picture but it worked and it looks super! YIPPEE SKIPPEE....I will be doing this with upcoming Valentines...what was it that I did?
I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and quickly put clear embossing powder over it and heat set it - WOW...it is stunning! There just is something magical about embossing! When you hold an embossed card in your hand, it feels so special! I adore the clear embossing powder!
I am starting to feel a bit guilty about the stamp....why???? because I have used it sooooo hard, the wood is all stained, I guess I should say it is well loved! A single stamp like this is a MUST HAVE in your collection. For just $9.00, how can you go wrong!
The scored lines on the white also frames it out for a clean and classic look and feel! The dimension of the white is 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" and then the Real Red Mat is just a smidge larger to make it pop!
Another tip is to double up the dimensionals. Because this card is so simple I thought that the doubling up the dimensionals would make it a bit more special.
Not much more to say than simple works! I invite you to go through your Holiday DSP and see how you can plan to use it up! I think that I have shared with you many ways to do so...from gift card holders, to check/money holder to a very easy card!
I think many times we feel guilty to make something so simple...it's ok - I promise!
Tuesday weekly deals have been revealed - do you have a favorite? Please feel free to email me and enjoy the day....
